Welcome to Gladesville Putney Before & After School Care (GPBASC). We are an accredited non-profit community based centre providing care and recreation for children of Gladesville and Putney Public Schools from kindergarten to year six.

The centre is housed in the old stone cottage on the grounds of Gladesville Public School and is licensed for, 60 Children - Before School Care and 75 Children - After School Care. GPBASC hours of operation are 7.00am to 9.00am - Before School Care and 3.10pm to 6.00pm - After School Care.

GPBASC is closed during school holidays, public holidays and school development days. The City of Ryde runs a Vacation Care program each school holidays - Vacation Care Details

GPBASC sponsors two school aged children. A child from Vietnam since March 2003 and this year began sponsoring another child from Tanzania. Due to privacy laws we are not able to provide any other details. However more information, photos and letters can be found on notice boards at the centre.

Term 3 AASC Sport

The free Active After-school Care Communities (AASC) sport program is once again being held at GPBASC. The Term 3 sports offered are Circus on a Wednesday and Hockey on a Thursday from 4pm - 5pm, commencing on Wednesday 28 July. The program runs for 7 weeks and is open to all ages. CIRCUS - Playing for life circus skills is 7 week taste of the best of circus, at the end of which children will feel confident enough to perform their own circus show. The children will learn a range of skills that are used in circuses, including juggling, balancing, skipping and hula hooping. Circus skills uses the essence of circus, that is, fun, playfulness, skills and teamwork, to help participants embrace being active, cooperative and creative.

HOCKEY - Playing for life hockey is a 7 week introduction to basic skills of the game in a controlled safe environment. The modified hockey rules are very simple and a special lighter than normal hockey ball and stick is used. The children will learn a range of ball handling skills such as dribbling, drag, trap, tackle and passing skills such as grip, pass, hit, push and leading.

For those children who did not participate last term in the AASC sport on a Monday & Tuesday a consent form will need to be completed. Please Click Here for a consent form.
